Tramore, given its proximity toWaterford City, has become an attractive placeto reside and there is a continuing andincreasing demand for residential development.The Council aims to:• Ensure that sufficient and suitable landis zoned for all housing types to meet theprojected housing requirements over theplan period;• To ensure the provision of adequateindustrial lands;• To create high quality sustainable livingenvironments and• To ensure that all residents are able toenjoy an acceptable standard ofresidential amenity.This chapter examines the availability ofresidentially zoned lands and therequirement for additional zoning.
