South Atlantic Conference TournamentNewberry College hosted the 2008 Food Lion SAC Softball Tournament was held Thursday, April 17through Sunday, April 20. All of the games were played on Newberry’s campus, with the exception of twogames on Friday, which were played at Newberry High School.The top-seeded Carson-Newman College Lady Eagles claimed the 2008 Food Lion South Atlantic ConferenceSoftball Tournament title with a 6-3 win over the fifth-seeded Mars Hill College Lions.The 2009 Food Lion SAC Softball Tournament will be hosted by Lenoir-Rhyne University in Hickory,S.C. The games will be played at Bears Field on L-R’s campus.
