B. Advise personnel of any secondary devices or other hazards<br />

found at the scene.<br />

C. Ensure that one list of victims/potential witnesses is developed<br />

<strong>and</strong> that their accounts of the incident are documented.<br />

D. Ensure that required evidence collection equipment, as well as<br />

processing <strong>and</strong> storage facilities, are available.<br />

E. Secure required equipment as determined by the scene conditions,<br />

such as light <strong>and</strong> heavy equipment, h<strong>and</strong>tools, specialty<br />

equipment, <strong>and</strong> personal safety items.<br />

F. Ensure that sufficient utilities <strong>and</strong> support services are requested<br />

(e.g., electricity, food, trash removal, sanitary services, other<br />

public services, security).<br />

G. Advise emergency responders <strong>and</strong> the investigation team of their<br />

assignments <strong>for</strong> scene documentation <strong>and</strong> processing.<br />

H. Remind personnel that evidence can take many <strong>for</strong>ms; it is not<br />

limited solely to components of the device(s).<br />

Summary: The investigator will meet with emergency responders<br />

<strong>and</strong> investigative personnel in preparation <strong>for</strong> scene<br />

documentation <strong>and</strong> processing.
