Special Events Permit If you wish to conduct a Special Event in a City park; that is, an event with more than 100 people or equipment brought into a park or wedding or photo shoot or art show/exhibit, a Special Permit is required. City residents are allowed use of all three parks for one permit cost ($45 inc. tax). • Beach and Park District Residents - Ownership of South Beach Park, Red Reef Park and Spanish River Park is held by the City. District residents may purchase a permit that allows use of all three parks ($45 inc. tax). • County Residents - Residents of Palm Beach County may purchase a permit for South Beach Park through an agreement between the City and County. The City is responsible for all operation and maintenance, with the provision that County residents be allowed usage of the Park at the same rate as City residents ($45 inc. tax). Pavilion and Shelter Rentals Picnic pavilions and shelters may be reserved at several locations as noted below. Reservations may be made up to three months in advance. Applicant must provide necessary residency requirements and pay fees at time permit is issued. Boat Launch and Recovery Permit Silver Palm Park Boat Ramp (561) 393-7807 Vehicles entering Silver Palm Park towing a watercraft trailer are required to obtain a BOAT LAuNCH and RECOVERY PERMIT or a ONE DAY VISITOR PERMIT. Permits are valid for a one year period (October 1 through September 30) and are not prorated. un-permitted vehicles with watercraft trailers are subject to a $25 fine and towing at owner’s expenses. Permits may be purchased at Boca Raton Community Center, James A. Rutherford Community Center, Sugar Sand Community Center. (See Beach Permit Information on page 47 for hours and location.) Permits are not transferable and must be permanently affixed to the bottom left front of the interior windshield glass ofthe vehicle in order to be admitted into the park. Any transfer of the permit will result in revocation. Vehicles without permits properly affixed to the windshield glass will not be allowed to enter the park until permits are properly affixed. Permit CANNOT be taped to windshield glass or placed on paper or transparencies. A ONE-DAY visit will require the boater to obtain a daily permit at one of the above locations prior to launching water-craft. Daily permits must be hung on rear-view mirror, visible for review. A ONE-DAY visitor permit expires 24 hours after issuance. FEES (tax included): ANNuAL FEE DAILY FEE Palm Beach County Resident $45 $20 Non-Palm Beach County Resident $410 $50 HOW TO OBTAIN PERMIT: Applicants are required to provide a document from both #1 & 2: 1. Present their official state motor vehicle registration, or title, or current bill of sale, or rental/lease agreement (with applicant’s name) for each vehicle. 2. Prove residency in Palm Beach County by providing one of the following current documents showing resident’s name and Palm Beach County address: current driver’s license, city/county tax bill, unpaid telephone bill, water deposit receipt, Florida power/light bill, rental or lease agreement, notarized letter from condo association. 3. university students and faculty residing on campus in Palm Beach County may establish proof of residency by submitting a signed letter by the Director of Housing, certifying campus residency. Field Rental Fees The following fees will be charged for issuing a permit for all groups, other than Independent Youth Sports Associations and Youth Travel Teams, requesting usage of an athletic field owned by the City of Boca Raton. Fees and inventory of fields available for rental subject to change. Resident Non-resident • Baseball/Softball Field $20 per hour $110 per hour • Soccer/Football Field $25 per hour $140 per hour • Basketball Courts(Woodlands Park) Volleyball Courts(Meadows Park – Sand Court): $13 per hour $70 per hour • Batting Cage $10.25 per hour $30.75 per hour For miscellaneous additional services (drag, line, paint fields), please call for rates. 1.For up to 2 uses per month,permit will be based on single person residency status. 2.Game, league, tournament, multiple or continuous usage residency status will be determined by roster submitted with residency being based on 66% 3.Refunds will be made for permits cancelled by the Athletics Department due to inclement weather causing field closure prior to reserved time. 4.Resident– Resides in the City of Boca Raton or Greater Boca Raton Beach and Park District.
