Physical activity and good
health……it starts in parks!
Boca Raton’s parks and recreation facilities
are included in a total of over 105,000
public parks and recreation areas in the
united States which provide vital services
related to health, physical fitness, nutrition,
economic development and conservation for
millions upon millions of people. Although
communities may be experiencing some of the hardest of economic, social,
and environmental times, parks and recreation remain essential to our
healthy existence.
Boca Raton’s Recreation Services, too, is committed to enhancing the
quality of life for its citizens, both young and old, through its many facilities
and programs. Make it a new year pledge to search out and experience
one of the many programs offered by the Recreation Services Department
in this new issue of THE RECREATOR. We offer to you a wide range of free
and/or low-cost opportunities to get out and play, Physical activity and
good health…. for the young…., for young growing bodies……for
the ageless......it starts in parks!
