Physical activity and good<br />
health……it starts in parks!<br />
<strong>Boca</strong> <strong>Raton</strong>’s parks and recreation facilities<br />
are included in a total <strong>of</strong> over 105,000<br />
public parks and recreation areas in the<br />
united States which provide vital services<br />
related to health, physical fitness, nutrition,<br />
economic development and conservation for<br />
millions upon millions <strong>of</strong> people. Although<br />
communities may be experiencing some <strong>of</strong> the hardest <strong>of</strong> economic, social,<br />
and environmental times, parks and recreation remain essential to our<br />
healthy existence.<br />
<strong>Boca</strong> <strong>Raton</strong>’s Recreation Services, too, is committed to enhancing the<br />
quality <strong>of</strong> life for its citizens, both young and old, through its many facilities<br />
and programs. Make it a new year pledge to search out and experience<br />
one <strong>of</strong> the many programs <strong>of</strong>fered by the Recreation Services Department<br />
