Filter the mixture through a paper towel into the other<br />

glass jar. Wash the particles collected on the paper towel<br />

with 1/2 cup (120 milliliters) of gasoline. Discard the<br />

waste liquid.<br />

Place the RDX particles in a glass <strong>or</strong><br />

ceramic dish. Set the dish in a pan of hot<br />

water, not boiling, and dry f<strong>or</strong> a period of<br />

1 hour.<br />

Note: The RDX particles may be air dried f<strong>or</strong> a period of 2 to 3 hours.<br />

1.16 TACC (Tetramminecopper (II) Chl<strong>or</strong>ate)<br />

Tetramminecopper (II) chl<strong>or</strong>ate is a primary explosive that can be made from sodium chl<strong>or</strong>ate, copper<br />

sulfate and ammonia. This explosive is to be used with a booster explosive such as picric acid (section<br />

1.21) <strong>or</strong> RDX (section 1.15) in the fabrication of detonat<strong>or</strong>s (section 6.13).<br />
