A request for additional permits in exceptional circumstances only, may bemade by written application to the General Manager.Residential PropertiesWhoever is living at a rateable property, ie the ratepayer or the tenants of that address, may apply for parking permitsunder this Scheme.Commercial PropertiesCommercial tenants operating from a rateable property in the area may apply for parking permits under this Scheme.Display of PermitsVehiclesTo be valid, all permits must be displayed in permit holders. Vehicles displaying expired permits or permits from outsidethe permit area will not be exempt from the sign-posted time restrictions.Hanging HolderWhen parked, place the valid permit in the holder so that the Council logo and permit area details are facing forward.Hang the holder from the interior, rear vision mirror, facing forward and outward. Ensure the permit details are visiblethrough your windscreen from outside the vehicle. Always remove the holder from the rear vision mirror whilst driving.Adhesive Permit HolderPeel the two (2) adhesive strips from the permit holder. Adhere the holder permanently to the bottom of the vehiclewindscreen, on the passenger side. Slip the valid permit into the pocket in the holder. Ensure the Council logo andpermit area details are facing forward and are visible through the windscreen from outside the vehicle. Permits can beremoved from the holder when required, leaving the holder in place.TrailersThe trailer’s RTA certificate of registration at the property address must be supplied with the permit application. Trailerpermits must be permanently affixed to the registered trailer in a suitable holder. Trailers displaying expired permits orpermits from outside the permit area will not be exempt from the sign-posted time restrictions.Where to ParkA vehicle or trailer displaying a valid permit for Little Manly may park in a street signposted “2P Little Manly PermitHolders Excepted” for twenty-four (24) hours a day, seven (7) days a week. These permits are not valid in any other onstreetparking areas. Vehicles not displaying a valid Little Manly parking permit must obey the time limits on the parkingsigns.Vehicles displaying a valid Manly Council Designated Parking Permit are allowed double the sign posted time, or four (4)hours in the “2P Little Manly Permit Holders Excepted” sign-posted areas.Changing AddressPermits are area specific to Little Manly area and are not valid outside the area. If you are moving to another address inManly which has a Permit Parking Scheme operating, please contact Council to have your current permits voided andyour new permits issued.Expiry Date and RenewalsPermits operate over a twelve (12) month period. The expiry date is printed on each permit. Permits must be renewedprior to the expiry date to ensure infringements are not incurred. To renew your permits, please complete the appropriateapplication form and return it to Council.
