However, if you notice unusual tire wearor your vehicle pulling one way or the other, thealignment may need to be reset. If you notice yourvehicle vibrating when driving on a smooth road, yourwheels may need to be rebalanced.Wl 21 ReplacementReplace any wheel that is bent, cracked, or badly rustedor corroded. If wheel nuts keep coming loose, the wheel,wheel bolts and wheel nuts should be replaced. If thewheel leaks air, replace it (except some aluminumwheels, which can sometimes be repaired). See your<strong>Buick</strong> dealer if any of these conditions exist.Your dealer will know the kind of wheel you need.Each new wheel should have the same load-carryingcapacity, diameter, width, offset and be mounted thesame way as the one it replaces.If you need to replace any of your wheels, wheel boltsor wheel nuts, replace them only with new GM originalequipment parts. This way, you will be sure to have theright wheel, wheel bolts and wheel nuts for your<strong>Buick</strong> model.Using the wrong replacement wheels, wheel boltsor wheel nuts on your vehicle can be dangerous. Itcould affect the braking and handling of yourvehicle, make your tires lose air and make you losecontrol. You could have a collision in which you orothers could be injured. Always use the correctwheel, wheel bolts and wheel nuts for replacement.NOTICE:The wrong wheel can also cause problems withbearing life, brake cooling, speedometer orodometer calibration, headlamp aim, bumperheight, vehicle ground clearance and tire or tirechain clearance to the body and chassis.See “Changing a Flat Tire” in the Index for moreinformation.6-44
