HEARTS OF IRON DARKEST HOURThe StatisticsFolderOverviewThe Statistics Interface isprimarily a means of quicklygaining and reviewing largequantities of global informationand for comparing yournation’s progress to that ofothers. Each table ofinformation relates to anaspect of the game, including:general summaries, economicinformation, convoysummaries, technology andmilitary comparisons, acomplete listing of your armedforces including theirlocations, strengths andcombat stats, and a placewhere you may view the fulllengthversion of the historylog. A large number of thetables have “hot links” allowingyou to double-click to jump toa specific unit or province, orhave right-click menus thatallow you to convenientlyissue orders or make changeswithout directly going to a unitor provincial location.Remember that some of theinformation presented in thisfolder is drawn from theintelligence reports that yourspies have collected, so somedata may not be notcompletely reliable, or couldeven be absent altogether.Selecting andUsing a StatisticsSub-FolderEach of Darkest Hour’s 30+subfolders can be accessedby paging through them usingthe left and right arrows at thetop of each folder. You canalso jump directly to thedesired folder by selecting itfrom the drop-down listbetween the arrows. They aregenerally grouped into fivedistinct categories: Summary,Economic, Technology, Militaryand History.There are some fairly commonfeatures available in thestatistics subfolders. In manycases, the column headerscan be clicked to sort the datain the tables in ascendingorder according to thatheading, and clicking it againwill reverse the sort order.Double-clicking on anindividual line in a table willusually jump directly to andselect the item in question,such as a province, unit,leader or supply route. Insome cases, you can rightclickon an item to display acontext-sensitive menu thatallows you to take a directaction from the subfolder.When you have finishedreviewing the information andleave the Statistics Folder oruse the quick-jump feature,Darkest Hour will rememberthe last statistics subfolderthat you were viewing as wellas the sort category and orderthat you last used for thatfolder. When you next openthe Statistics Folder, it willreturn to you that exact sameview.93
