You can click ona route listing either here, or inthe Production folder’ssummary to display an evenmore detailed interface for thatconvoy. The Convoy Detailsinterface includes informationabout the route that theconvoy is taking and allowsyou to set limits on the typesof materials that the convoyswill carry. You cannot adjustthe convoy’s route, but youcan specify exactly whichmaterials are to be transportedby checking or un-checkingthe appropriate resourcecheckbox. You may alsoadjust the number of vesselsassigned to the route, and youmay cancel a route altogetherby clicking the Cancel Convoybutton in the middle of thepanel.The lower section of theConvoy Details interface isused to create a new convoyroute and to control the levelof route automation. Tomanually create a new convoyroute, click on the button thatcorresponds to the type ofroute you wish to establish: aresource or a supply convoy.You will then be asked toselect a port of origin from thelist of possible valid ports. Thisis whichever port you want theconvoy to use as its startingpoint. You are then asked toselect from a list of possibledestination ports for yourresources. Click OK toestablish the route. By default,a supply convoy will pick upsupplies and fuel if they areavailable and will deliver themto the destination port. Aresource convoy will pick upall natural resources anddeliver them to thedestination port. Goodscarried by a convoy to adestination port that is directlyland-linked to your capital willautomatically transport thosegoods to your capital and addthem to your nationalstockpile. If this is notpossible, a new depot will becreated in the destinationport’s province and all inboundgoods will be placed there forsubsequent distribution. Notethat you can create a secondconvoy route to transportgoods from one depot toanother. This is a very usefultechnique, particularly whensupplying forces in the Pacifictheatre, since it may require63
