HEARTS OF IRON DARKEST HOURThe ProductionFolderOverviewThe Production Folder is theinterface you will probably usemost frequently, other than theMain Map Folder. It is used fortwo main purposes: issuingnew building orders andmanaging your economy. It ishere that you will recruit newdivisions, construct newaircraft and naval vessels, andbuild some of your provincialassets. You will then be ableto adjust the priority that eachorder is given by makingchanges to this in the productionqueue. It is also thefolder you will use to manageyour nation’s IC allocation tomeet various domestic andmilitary needs and willmanage the disposition of yournetwork of convoys.The screen is divided into twosections. The left side displaysthe Production Ordersinterface and the ProductionQueue, while the right sideshows the vitally importantIndustrial Capacity Allocationsliders, a summary of yournational resources, tradeagreements and convoyactivity, and the location andsize of your resource depots.We’ll look at each of these inturn.Production Orders &the ProductionQueueThe Production Ordersinterface and ProductionQueue are displayed on theleft side of your screen in theProduction Folder. Every timeyou wish to recruit new forcesor construct one of severalprovince assets, you willinitiate a new production order,confirm the type and quantitydesired, and then issue theorder. It will then be added tothe bottom of the scrollableProduction Queue listing,where you may subsequentlyreview, manage or cancel it. Itis also possible to placeorders for some province48
