IPA 2009 Multi-beneficiary StatisticalCooperation ProgrammeThe Survey was initiated in late November and completed by the end of December.During the farm visits, data were collected on farm household demographiccharacteristics, livestock, areas planted in various crops, information on single,multiple and mixed plantings of crops, farm practices, fertilizer and equipment hirecosts, ownership of vehicles, farm equipment and appliances, and the production,sales and prices received for selected crops.The Survey was conducted by approximately 400 enumerators residing in or near thesample segments for which they were responsible for data collection.Immediately after the receipt of the first survey data, additional manual edit checkswere completed by central office staff in which districts and the data were entereddirectly from the forms into microcomputers using a customized data entry package.The data were then run through a comprehensive computer edit system used fordetecting data entry, coding and enumerator errors. Necessary corrections weremade on the forms and to the data set in the computers. The “cleaned” data werethen summarized in tabular forms. Preliminary tables describing the results of thesurvey were completed in February.Since 2004 the collected data was substantially increased, which made possible theestimation of national accounts. The added data are provided on:- The working days in farms from households specified for agriculture, livestockand fruit trees;- The working days out of the farm and income from these activities;- Data on the balance use production;- The expenditures in value specified for agriculture, livestock, agriculturalmechanic and other activities in the farm;- Income from the processing products;- Income for agro tourism development;- Data on growing of the plants;- Data on investments inside the farm and their financial sources;- Annual average prices for each agriculture product.The coefficient of expansion (CE) is composed by three partsCoefficient of expansion of segmentCEsegmentMmWhere M is the total number of segment on prefecture x on strata x;and m is selected number of segment on prefecture x on strata x31/236
