It uses a 1/3-inch, wide dynamic range CCD sensor andincorporates advanced (20-bit) digital signalprocessing for outstanding picture performance.The 20-bit image processing enhances sensitivity; the2X-Dynamic extends the dynamic range. This uniquecombination provides a sharper, more detailed imagewith outstanding accuracy in color reproduction evenunder harsh lighting conditions.The Dinion2X camera is easy to install and ready touse, and offers the best solution for demanding sceneconditions. The day/night feature ensures the highestimage quality possible at any time. Depending on theavailable light the camera will automatically switchfrom color to monochrome.All Dinion cameras are supplied ready to operate.Simply attach the lens, connect video and then power.Six distinct pre-programmed operational modes arestored in the camera. Recall the mode that suits yourapplication for optimized performance.The camera automatically detects the lens type. Thelens wizard ensures accurate back-focusing forperfectly sharp pictures at all times. For especiallychallenging situations where fine tuning or specialsettings are required, the camera parameters can beindividually set using the control buttons on the sideof the camera and an On-screen Display (OSD).FunctionsDetail in Extreme LightingIn harsh lighting, the difference between the brightestand the darkest parts of a scene can be extreme. Toproduce a clear picture in these conditions, the CCDsensor in the Dinion2X generates two images; one longexposure to resolve details in the scene’s darkestareas, and one short exposure to resolve details in thescene’s brightest areas. The Digital Signal Processor(DSP) of the Dinion2X combines these dual shutterimages, mixing pixels from each exposure to producethe most detailed image possible.20-bit Image ProcessingThe highly accurate digital signal processing optimallycaptures the detail in both bright highlights and deepshadows simultaneously. By combining 20-bit imageprocessing and wide dynamic range, the Dinion2Xmaximizes the information visible in the picture evenwith strong backlighting.

The IR filter can switchfrom color to monochrome automatically by eithersensing the illumination level or via the alarm input.The filter can be switched manually via the alarminput, through the camera menu or via the Bilinxcoaxial control interface. An internal through-the-lensIR detector enhances the monochrome mode stability,as it prevents reverting to the color mode when IRillumination is dominant. IR contrast is also measuredand used to handle reflected IR light in outdoorscenes.Privacy maskingFour different privacy zones allow specific parts of ascene to be blocked. Pre-program any part of thescene to be masked.Default ShutterThe default shutter speed captures fast movingobjects when sufficient light is available. When lightlevels fall and other adjustments have been exhausted,the shutter speed reverts to a standard setting tomaintain sensitivity.Bilinx TechnologyBilinx is a bidirectional communication capabilityembedded in the video signal of all Bosch Dinioncameras. Technicians can check status, change camerasettings and even update firmware from virtuallyanywhere along the video cable. Bilinx reduces serviceand installation time, provides for more accurate setupand adjustment, and improves overall performance.In addition, Bilinx uses the standard video cable totransmit alarm and status messages, providingsuperior performance without additional installationsteps.Lens WizardThe Lens Wizard automatically detects the lens typeand helps focus the lens at the maximum opening toensure proper focus is maintained throughout the 24-hour cycle. No special tools or filters are required.Ease of installationSeveral features are available that make installationeasy:• Power and alarm connections have cable connectorswhich can be removed even when the camera ismounted.• A built-in test pattern generator produces signals totest and fault-find cables.• A multi-language On-Screen Display (OSD) increasesuser compatibility.Programmable ModesSix independent, pre-programmed operating modessupport typical applications, but are fullyprogrammable for individual situations. Theglobal scene change detector minimizes false alarmscaused by sudden lighting condition changes, such asswitching on or off the indoor or security lighting.When motion is detected, alarms can be displayed inthe video signal, the output relay can be closed or analarm message can be transmitted via Bilinx.SensUp DynamicBy increasing the integration time up to 10 times onthe CCD, the effective sensitivity is dramaticallyenhanced.
