When the time-varying spectrum is selected for view, a color barindicating the power values is also shown on the right. The color map of the spectrumcan be changed with the Color map button. The adjustable options for the time-varyinganalysis include the window width and grid interval for the moving window which is used tocalculate the results. In addition, the time-varying spectrum can be estimated using eitherthe spectrogram method or the Kalman smoother method. The latter one is a parametricapproach where the time-varying AR parameters are solved with the Kalman smootheralgorithm. The adaptation speed of the algorithm can be adjusted manually by changingthe Adaptation coeff. value. For bigger values of this coefficient the algorithm adapts fasterto local changes in the signal with the expense of increased variance.
