Medical leave consists of 7 days eachyear to be used for illnesses of short duration,occasional doctor and dentist appointments,and <strong>the</strong> care of sick family members. Thisschedule is prorated if you work part-time. Up to7 days of unused medical leave may be carriedover to <strong>the</strong> following year. Short-term disabilitybenefits cover continuous absences of morethan 5 days, and long-term disability benefitscover absences of more than 6 months.O<strong>the</strong>r LeaveLeave may be granted for jury duty, militaryduty, continuing education, or a death in <strong>the</strong>immediate family.
