PAGE 8-2INTERNATIONAL PERSONAL PROPERTY RATE SOLICITATION I-25Item 805Payment ResponsibilityTransportation Service Providers will be responsible for payment of ocean charges to either oceanTransportation Service Provider or Transportation Service Provider paying total ocean charges, as required.Bids will not include these costs. Transportation Service Provider will bill through CWA for their portionof the ocean charges as third party service supported by proper documentation. Transportation ServiceProviders will be responsible for payment of demurrage for the entire ocean container, if originalTransportation Service Provider was responsible. Collection from other Transportation Service Providerswill be the responsibility of the Transportation Service Provider. Transportation Service Providers arerequired to maintain records identifying all charges associated with demurrage and report same to <strong>SDDC</strong>-PPP-PO upon request. Transportation Service Providers will be required to obtain new weight tickets andwill bill on the new weight. The weight of the original shipment will have no bearing on the new shipment.Item 806Return of Transportation Service Provider EquipmentTransportation Service Providers will be responsible for notifying original Transportation ServiceProvider's agent that <strong>property</strong> (containers, etc.,) is available for pickup upon delivery of shipment.Item 807Reporting Operational ProblemsTransportation Service Providers must notify <strong>SDDC</strong>, ATTN: <strong>SDDC</strong>-PPP-PO, when any problemsoccur such as failure to obtain PPGBL from PPSO or failure to obtain release of shipment from oceanTransportation Service Provider.Item 808StandardsShipments are subject to all provisions and rules contained in this <strong>solicitation</strong> and the Tender of Service.Awards to Transportation Service Providers failing to provide timely movement of <strong>property</strong> will beterminated and the Transportation Service Providers will be removed from the OTO program unless failure isthrough no fault of the Transportation Service Provider.Item 809Announcement for BidsWhen it becomes necessary to obtain bids for the movement of frust<strong>rate</strong>d shipments, <strong>SDDC</strong>,ATTN: <strong>SDDC</strong>-PPP-PO, will issue a message announcing the effective dates and name(s) of the involvedTransportation Service Providers. The estimated volume of <strong>property</strong> to be moved will be provided in theannouncement, if known. The deadline for submission of bids will also be contained in the message. Seeexample of message at Appendix A.Item 810Submission of BidsBids may be submitted for all ports for both HHG and UB or Transportation Service Providers maychoose only those ports and commodity they desire to serve.
