PS funds research <strong>and</strong> work withprivate sector partners to protect national critical infrastructure.The Canadian Cyber Incident Response Centre (CCIRC) is responsible formonitoring threats <strong>and</strong> coordinating the national response to any cybersecurity incident. Its focus is the protection of national critical infrastructureagainst cyber incidents.• FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAMSPS administers the Joint <strong>Emergency</strong> Preparedness Program (JEPP) <strong>and</strong> theDisaster Financial Assistance Arrangements (DFAA). JEPP funding ensurescommunities have response skills <strong>and</strong> equipment in place to deal withemergency situations of any type.
