FEMA supports them by offering training courses foremergency managers <strong>and</strong> firefighters, with DHS funding for emergencyplanning <strong>and</strong> equipment, by conducting exercises for localities to practiceresponse, <strong>and</strong> by promoting ways to minimize disasters’ effects.
