By reapplying the policy you communicate new <strong>storage</strong> requirements to the datastore where thevirtual machine object resides.PrerequisitesThe compliance status for a virtual machine is Out of Date. The status indicates that the policy has beenedited, but the new requirements have not been communicated to the datastore.Procedure1 In the vSphere Web Client, browse to the virtual machine.2 Click the Manage tab, and click VM Storage Policies.3 Verify that the compliance status shows Out of Date.4 Click the Reapply VM Storage Policy icon.The compliance status changes to Compliant.
