vSphere Storage5 Move the host back to the Virtual SAN cluster.Not Compliant Virtual Machine Objects Do Not Become Compliant InstantlyWhen you use the Check Compliance button, a virtual machine object does not change its status from NotCompliant to Compliant even though Virtual SAN resources have become available and satisfy the virtualmachine profile.ProblemWhen you use a force provisioning option, you can provision a virtual machine object even when the policyspecified in the virtual machine profile is not satisfiable with the resources currently available in the VirtualSAN cluster. The object is created, but remains in the non-compliant status.Virtual SAN is expected to bring the object into compliance when <strong>storage</strong> resources in the cluster becomeavailable, for example, when you add a host. However, the object's status does not change to compliantimmediately after you add resources.CauseThis occurs because Virtual SAN regulates the pace of the reconfiguration to avoid overloading the system.The amount of time it takes for compliance to be achieved depends on the number of objects in the cluster,the IO load on the cluster and the size of the object in question. In most cases, compliance will be achievedwithin the reasonable time.Virtual SAN Cluster Configuration IssuesAfter you make any changes to Virtual SAN configuration, vCenter Server performs validation checks forVirtual SAN configuration. Validation checks are also performed as a part of a host synchronization process.If vCenter Server detects any configuration problems, it displays error messages.ProblemA number of error messages indicate that vCenter Server has detected a problem with Virtual SANconfiguration.SolutionUse the following methods to fix Virtual SAN configuration problems.Table 19‐3.
