The Network of operators is managed by UITP. UITP contacted several operators in order to<br />
extend the consensus building process beyond the group of public transport operators who are<br />
directly consortium members, so that numerous smaller and mid sized European operators can<br />
have a say in the process of defining URBANTRACK specifications.<br />
The Network has been constituted during the course of the first 12 months of the project. 15<br />
operators signed a first declaration of participation in the URBANTRACK network of operators<br />
between October and November 2006:<br />
