What is the <strong>Cash</strong> <strong>Back</strong> <strong>Offer</strong>?<strong>Cash</strong> <strong>Back</strong> <strong>Offer</strong>Frequently Asked QuestionsThe <strong>Cash</strong> <strong>Back</strong> offer allows prepaid customers to earn $1 bonus credit for each minutethey spend on a Digi- Digi mobile call between the hours of 7:00:00am and 6:59:59 pmeach day. Bonus credit accumulated can be used to call <strong>Digicel</strong> mobile numbersbetween 9:00:00pm and 11:59:59 pm each day.Calls made to any other number (i.e. Other mobiles, Landline, <strong>Digicel</strong> Fixed wireless tollfree, special service, premium rated numbers, international destinations etc.) will notearn any bonus credit.2. Who can qualify for this offer? This offer will be available to:- ALL <strong>Digicel</strong> Prepaid customers Hybrid customersoPrepaid account that exists within a Postpaid CUG. Hybrid accountholders must dial *949 before the number if they wish to qualify forbonus credit. Dual account customersoPostpaid and Prepaid account combined using one number. *949 plusthe number must be dialed in order to qualify for bonus credit.


3. How does the <strong>Cash</strong> <strong>Back</strong> Prepaid <strong>Offer</strong> work?Customers will be required to dial *159# send to initiate the activation process for the<strong>Cash</strong> back offer.Once activation is completed, customers will receive $1 bonus credit for everycomplete minute spent on a call made to another <strong>Digicel</strong> (mobile) numbers. Calls are tobe made between 7:00:00am and 6:59:59pm each day.Example 1John makes a call at 9am for 3 minutes and 40 seconds. He will therefore earn $3 (3minutes *$1) worth of bonus credit.Example 2Sarah makes a call at 5:05pm which lasts 52 seconds. She will not earn <strong>Cash</strong> backbonus credit as her call duration is less than a complete minute.Bonus credit can be used to call local <strong>Digicel</strong> (mobile) numbers between 9pm and11:59:59pm each day.ExampleJohn has earned $3 cash back from his call at 9am this morning. He will not be able touse this bonus credit until 9pm and if it is not used it will be removed at midnight(12am).Customers must remain subscribed for a minimum period of 24 hours before they areeligible to deactivate the offer.Customers are not charged for activating or deactivating the <strong>Cash</strong> <strong>Back</strong> offer and thereare no recurring subscription fees.4. How do customers activate the <strong>Cash</strong> <strong>Back</strong> offer?Prepaid customers will follow the steps below to activate the <strong>Cash</strong> <strong>Back</strong> offer:-o Step 1:• Dial *159# and ‘Send’.Customer will then receive a SMS directing the customer to confirm theactivation of the <strong>Cash</strong> <strong>Back</strong> offer:-o Step 2:• To confirm dial *159*1# and ‘Send’.Customer will then receive a SMS stating that the <strong>Cash</strong> <strong>Back</strong> offer has beenactivated.Postpaid customers who dial this activation code will receive a text message advisingthat they are not eligible for this offer.


5. Can customers on <strong>Digicel</strong>’s One Rate plan or Sweet Plan activate the <strong>Cash</strong> <strong>Back</strong> offer?Yes. Customers will be able to activate the <strong>Cash</strong> <strong>Back</strong> offer from any of <strong>Digicel</strong>’s prepaidrate plans (One Rate, Sweet Plan or Standard).6. Will customers on a Sweet plan earn bonus credit if they make a call that is less than acomplete min?No. Though Sweet plan customers are charged on a per minute basis, they will still berequired to make a call for a complete minute to earn bonus credit.ExampleMary makes a call at 11am for 2 minutes and 15 seconds. She will therefore earn $2 (2minutes *$1) worth of bonus credit.7. How do customers deactivate the <strong>Cash</strong> <strong>Back</strong> offer? Customer may ONLY deactivate the <strong>Cash</strong> <strong>Back</strong> offer after being subscribed for aminimum of 24 hours.• To deactivate the <strong>Cash</strong> <strong>Back</strong> offer, customers may dial *159*6*10# and ‘Send’.If a customer is within the 24 hour lock period and dials the deactivation code, he/shewill receive a text message advising they are unable to deactivate the <strong>Cash</strong> <strong>Back</strong> offerservice until 24 hours after activation.Customers are required to redial the deactivation code after the 24 hour lock period inorder to be successfully removed from the service.8. Is there a cost to activate/deactivate of the <strong>Cash</strong> <strong>Back</strong> offer? No. To activate/deactivate to <strong>Cash</strong> <strong>Back</strong> offer is FREE of cost.9. Can customers reactivate the <strong>Cash</strong> <strong>Back</strong> offer after deactivation? Yes. Customers can reactivate the <strong>Cash</strong> <strong>Back</strong> offer by using the activation code, *159#. This can be done at any time after de-activation.10. Will I still get the bonus when making calls to my VIP? No. When making calls to a VIP Plan partner customers will not accumulate bonuscredit.


11. Will I be charged from my bonus credit when I make a call during Prepaid Free Nights? No. Customers will receive Prepaid Free Nights between the hours of 11:00:00pm and5:59:59am once qualified. <strong>Cash</strong> <strong>Back</strong> offer bonus credit will not be used during thattime.12. How does a customer check their bonus credit?Customers may dial *120*54# to view the credit received from the <strong>Cash</strong> <strong>Back</strong> offer.13. Will the bonus credit expire?Bonus credit can be used between 9:00:00pm and 11:59:59pm daily. After this time, thebonus credit will expire and be removed from the account at the end of each day.14. At what rate will bonus credit be charged at?Bonus credit will be charged at the rate of the currently active prepaid rate plan(Standard- $10/8, One rate- $8.99, Sweet- $2.89 not including STCT)Bonus credit can be used to call <strong>Digicel</strong> Mobile numbers only.15. Will I accumulate bonus credit when using Gimme Five (calls to <strong>Digicel</strong> numbers)? Customers will not receive bonus credit for the free portion of Gimme Five (<strong>Digicel</strong>)calls.Bonus credit will be accumulated for all charged minutes made on a Gimme Five(<strong>Digicel</strong>) call.Customers will not receive bonus credit for Gimme Five International calls or GimmeFive text messages. Bonus credit is only earned on local on net calls.16. Can the bonus credit be used to call other networks?No. The credit received will only be used when making a call to a <strong>Digicel</strong> mobile number.17. Can the bonus credit be used to send SMS?No. The bonus credit will only be used when making a <strong>Digicel</strong> mobile voice call.18. I have other bonus credit; will I use my <strong>Cash</strong> <strong>Back</strong> offer bonus credit first?Yes. <strong>Cash</strong> back offer bonus credit is used before all other bonus credit.19. Is the bonus credit transferrable by Credit U?No. Bonus credit earned cannot be transferred.


20. Are there any special dialing formats to use in order to access the bonus credit?Only Hybrid and Dual account customers are required to use the prefix *949 beforenumbers dialed to use the bonus credit.21. If I am roaming can I accumulate free minutes?No. Customers must be in <strong>Jamaica</strong> on the <strong>Digicel</strong> <strong>Jamaica</strong> network to benefit from thispromotion.22. Is unused bonus credit rolled over to the next night?No. Customers must use their accumulated bonus credit on the date that it is awarded.23. What happens if a customer makes a call that extends past 12am?Bonus credit can only be used between (9:00:00pm – 11:59:59pm), if a call extends past12am then regular charging will resume.If a customer is eligible for Prepaid Free Nights and their call extends past 11pm, thenthe Prepaid Free Nights bonus will be used starting at 11pm.


TERMS AND CONDITIONS APPLICABLE TO THE DIGICEL ‘CASH BACK OFFER’1. The <strong>Cash</strong> <strong>Back</strong> <strong>Offer</strong> (‘the <strong>Offer</strong>’) is available to ALL <strong>Digicel</strong> FLEX (Pre-paid) Customers(‘Customer’) regardless of the base plan he or she has subscribed to (i.e. Regular, OneRate, Sweet or any other prepaid plan).2. The <strong>Offer</strong> is available to Prepaid Customers as of Friday May 24 th to June 30 th 2013 or tosome other date as determined by <strong>Digicel</strong>.3. In order to activate the <strong>Offer</strong>, Customers must dial the USSD code *159# on their mobilehandset and press send to opt in to the <strong>Offer</strong>.4. Customers who have activated the <strong>Offer</strong> shall earn cash back of One Dollar ($1 JMD) incall credit (“<strong>Cash</strong> <strong>Back</strong> Bonus Credit/Bonus Credit”) for each minute of a billable <strong>Digicel</strong>to <strong>Digicel</strong> call made between 7 a.m. and 6:59:59 p.m. daily.5. <strong>Cash</strong> <strong>Back</strong> Bonus Credit cannot be earned from Credit U Transactions received.6. The Bonus Credit will be added to the Customer’s account within two minutes7. The Bonus Credit received each day must be used between 9 p.m. and 11:59:59 p.m. oneach calendar day when the <strong>Cash</strong> <strong>Back</strong> Bonus Credit was earned. The Bonus Creditexpires at 11:59:59 p.m. on the day the Bonus Credit was earned and does not carryover to the next day.8. Customers can only use <strong>Cash</strong> <strong>Back</strong> Bonus Credit to make local <strong>Digicel</strong> to <strong>Digicel</strong> calls andcannot be used for text messages or payment for services.9. Customer’s may check their <strong>Cash</strong> <strong>Back</strong> Bonus Credit balance by dialling *120*54#10. <strong>Cash</strong> <strong>Back</strong> Bonus Credit earned will be limited to a daily maximum of Thirteen ThousandDollars ($13,000 JMD)11. Customers shall pay the applicable taxes per minute or part thereof for chargeable callsmade from his or her main account. Calls are also subject to an additional ten cents perminute GCT on STC charge.12. <strong>Cash</strong> <strong>Back</strong> Bonus Credit used for <strong>Digicel</strong> to <strong>Digicel</strong> calls are excluded from taxes.13. If a Customer does not opt out of the <strong>Offer</strong>, the <strong>Offer</strong> automatically renews and remainsattached to their base prepaid plan.14. Once a Customer activates the <strong>Offer</strong> they are locked in for a period of twenty four (24)hours.


15. Customers may opt out of the <strong>Offer</strong> by dialling USSD code *159*10#.16. When calls are made by the Customer after 9p.m. daily the <strong>Cash</strong> <strong>Back</strong> Bonus Credit willbe used first until it has been depleted except where the customer has earned FreeNights. Free Nights earned will take priority over <strong>Cash</strong> <strong>Back</strong> Bonus at 10:59:59pm daily.17. The <strong>Cash</strong> <strong>Back</strong> Bonus Credit does NOT qualify for Gimme 5.18. The <strong>Cash</strong> <strong>Back</strong> Bonus Credit does NOT qualify for Free Nights.19. The <strong>Cash</strong> <strong>Back</strong> Bonus Credit is nontransferable.20. Customers do not earn <strong>Cash</strong> <strong>Back</strong> Bonus Credit from any other bonus credit offer.21. Customers who activate the <strong>Offer</strong> will continue to receive loyalty points and loyaltycredit on their first top up of the month.22. The <strong>Offer</strong> does not apply when the Customer is roaming and is only valid when theCustomer is making calls in <strong>Jamaica</strong>. The Roam like You’re Home offer is EXCLUDED fromthe <strong>Cash</strong> <strong>Back</strong> offer.23. <strong>Digicel</strong> reserves the right to at any time vary the terms of the <strong>Offer</strong>, to amend its Termsand Conditions, or to withdraw the <strong>Offer</strong>. In any of these events notice will be given viamedia advertisements or messages to subscribers and will be effective immediately oras of the date referred to in such notifications24. The general Terms and Conditions governing the relationship between <strong>Digicel</strong> and the<strong>Digicel</strong> FLEX Subscriber are set out in <strong>Digicel</strong> FLEX Terms and Conditions.
