This presentation sharesresults from a CMO-initiated study that explored how aninternational and interdisciplinary perspective on continuity<strong>of</strong> care(r) could inform policy planning in <strong>Ontario</strong>. Resultsfrom a systematic review and key informant interviewsdemonstrated continuity as a key factor in the sustainability<strong>of</strong> midwifery. Continuity <strong>of</strong> care(r) is explored as “a means oran end” and reflections are made on the relationship betweenmidwifery autonomy, job satisfaction, women’s experience <strong>of</strong>midwifery care and clinical outcomes.
