AQUARIUM UNITSAquaja offers a wide range of aquarium units, with two main units: the DL105 and the DL 107. All units are built from an aluminum frame with adjustablefeet. The unit is furnished with waterproof and scratch-resistant fiberboardand is mounted with aluminum flap doors. The fiberboard is available in avariety of colors.The lighting above the aquariums is wired to the backside and can be controlledwith one simple plug. The light fixture is CE-tested, waterproof and isequipped with an aquastar lamp unit and a reflector. The aquarium unit isprovided with a spray-proof quad-socket for the circulation pump and theheating.BIOLOGICAL FILTRATIONEach aquarium level has a biological filtration system built into the back, inwhich the drainage system is built. The aquarium itself is completely free ofany obstacles, which means that the fish can be caught without any obstruction.All filtration systems are equipped with Red-X filter materials and a circulationpump or an air siphon. To improve the filter quality even more, you canadd Sera Siporax to the filter.CHOICE OF FILTRATIONThe most common filtration systems used by Aquaja are:- Biological filtration per aquarium level- Sump filtration per aquarium unitBio-filterILLUMINATED PANELSAll aquarium units can be provided with (illuminated) panels to add to thetop of your aquarium rack. The illuminated panels can display pictures ortext to provide a high impact finish to your store.AUTOMATIC WATER REFRESHING SYSTEM (AWS)Our automatic water refreshing system meansthat every aquarium level has its own water in-and output, guided by an electrical faucet withcomputer.All aquariums are provided with covering sliding windows (to prevent the fishfrom jumping out). The total water capacity of one aquarium unit is about 550liters. Additionally, you can change an aquarium for an aquarium designedfor plant sales or for turtle sales.ENERGY SAVING HEATING SYSTEMAll aquarium units from Aquaja can be equipped with a unique heating system.This energy saving heating system uses the same technology as floorheating and is connected to the central heating system. For more informationabout this technology you can take a look at page 22.SEA WATER UNITSAll aquarium units mentioned in this catalogue can be modified to sea waterracks, without any extra costs. The sea water units all have a sump filtrationsystem per rack, with the sump (80x40x40 cm) serving as a central filter.This sump can be placed in the shelve spacing, which has to be raised to60 cm. The total height of the rack will be 262 cm instead of 225 cm. Anotheroption is to place the sump behind or aside of the aquarium rack.LED LIGHTINGIn addition to the standard lighting, you can choose to equip your aquariumunit with energy-saving LED lighting. The main advantages ofthis LED lighting are the longer durability and up to 50% energysavings. SUSTAINABLE CSRLED LIGHTINGBesides stimulating responsible animal housing, Aquaja also aims to stimulatethe environmental responsibility of your company. To help your CorporateSocial Responsibility, we have developed innovative products. You can provideyour store fixtures with high-quality LED lighting. We have also developed aunique and energy-saving heating system.Sustainable CSR is an important topic for all companies and it is easier thanyou might think. To help you with your CSR, we have developed a few veryinteresting products. Besides using high quality and high durability materials,which increased the lifetime of our products, Aquaja has added two newproducts which can provide you with a considerably energy saving. Besidessaving energy, your company’s image could be positively increased in theeyes of your (potential) customers.ENERGY SAVING HEATING SYSTEMAquaja developed her own energy saving heating system, comparable tofloor heating system. This heating system consists of heating elements (withpipes) which are placed into 2 cm thick Styrofoam. This heating system will beinstalled under the aquarium and is connected to the central heating system,if needed with a thermostatic valve to regulate the temperature. Warm waterwill flow through the heating elements. The heat will have no other escapeoption than to rise into the aquarium. Thanks to this heating system, you cansave up to 40% on your energy costs in comparison to Hydor 200 watt heatingelements.This energy saving is shown in the graphic below. In this example situationthere are 10 aquarium racks with 3 levels. This means that there are 30 aquariumswith heating elements. In this example situation you could save up toEuro15.000,- in 10 years.LED lighting is one of the best ways to reduce the energy consumption of yourstore fixtures. The LED lighting system of Aquaja guarantees a considerablereduction in energy costs and its visual effects will present the fish even better.The LED lighting system is available for all our aquatic units, as well as for ourfish basins. The LED lighting can be mounted in the existing lighting fixture.Besides the energy savings, LED lighting also ensures a reduction in maintenancetime because LED lighting significantly reduces the growth of algae incomparison to fluorescent lighting.The LED lighting system of Aquaja has around 350 power LED’s, divided over3 rows. Above all, the LED lighting is waterproof. The standard LED lightinghas 3 rows of cool white power LEDS with a color temperature of around6000 Kelvin and has 15 watt. The LED lighting is wired to the backside of theaquariums and can be controlled with one simple plug.Thanks to our LED lighting system you can save up to 50% on your energycosts. This means that for an aquatic unit with 3 levels and T8 lighting, youcan save up to 60 watt per hour. Furthermore, you don’t have to replace theLED lighting every other year.This reduction in energy costs is shown in the graphic below.
