The ship's bu.lders commissioned 'EnglishElectric' to solve the problems and supply and instalall electrical systems and switchboards.Four 'English Electric' dicscl alternator sets totalling2,400 kilowatts were supplied — the most powerful auxiliarygenerating plant to be titled in an <strong>Australia</strong>n-builtship. Also installed was an 'English Electric' 650 b.h.p.electric motor drawing power from the sets, to drive thebow propeller.
