They are based on the application by one man exerting a totaleffort of 400 Newtons on the cross bar of a tee key or the rim of a handwheel 450mm diameter orlarger, or 250 Newtons on the rim of smaller handwheelsInformationThe use of the gear ratios specified below precludes the possibility of damage to the valve due towedging-in of the gate from excessive spindle thrust.
