Instructions for BtVS RPG fill-in form character sheetVersion 1.0PDF Form encoding by Jason VeyThe form on the following pages was created using the official Buffy the VampireSlayer Roleplaying Game character sheet, found on the website(http://www.btvsrpg.com/) and in the back of the core rulebook. It is fairlystraightforward in functionality; the tab order has been set in the most logicalprogression.Page 1: Clicking in the “Character Name” blank will get you started. From there you fillout the Name, Type, and Description, hitting TAB (NOT ENTER) between fields. Afterthe top section, the tabs jump to Attributes, then Qualities and Drawbacks, then LifePoints, Drama Points, and Experience, then Skills, Combat Maneuvers, UsefulInformation, and Notes. The final field on page 1 is the “Character Portrait” area. YouMUST click in this area to insert a character portrait (Unfortunately, this feature does notseem to function when using Adobe Reader 6. A solution appears below).Page 2: Page 2 will continue seamlessly from page 1 (hitting “TAB” after the “CharacterPortrait” space takes you to the first field on page 2) and continues in a similarly logicalpattern from page 1.A major issue with this form is that Adobe Reader does not allow the saving of changesin a PDF form. There is to my knowledge no way around this issue using Adobe reader. However, the free home version of the program CutePDF Form Filler that can be foundat http://www.acrosoftware.com/Download.htm acts as a front end for Adobe Reader andincludes the necessary functionality to fill out and save PDF forms. It also appears to fixthe bug that arises when trying to insert a character portrait. I’ve personally testedCutePDF Form Filler and highly recommend it. While it is listed as a “Try it” demo onthe website, in the application itself it is clarified that the application is free for noncommercial, home use.
