These research papers are authored byM Mahmood Shah Khan, Lecturer SBE, Adee Muhammad, CoordinatorCIFE, and Masoora Gul Khan, student of MBF program respectively.– A paper, titled "Management Education and Corporate Governance: Acase of India and Pakistan” has been accepted for publication in ResearchJournal of International Studies (RJIS). The RJIS is included inthe Euro Journals List. The paper has been written by M MahmoodShah Khan, Lecturer, Department of Finance and Economics, SBE.– A collaborative research work has been published in an internationalbook titled “Ageing in Asia” edited by Dr Jason L Powell and Dr Ian GCook (ISBN No 978-1-60741-649-4). The research contribution is aresult of collaborative intellectual efforts of Dr Hasan Sohaib Murad,Ahmad Raza and Dr A K Kayani. The research paper is titled "Ageing,Life Expectancy and Changes in Lifestyles: Situational Analysis ofPakistan". The book has been published by Nova Science Publishers,USA, which can be accessed /purchased online as well. The primaryfocus of the book is on investigating and analyzing the impact of theageing population on the emerging problems of management, economyand socio-cultural systems of the Asian societies and implications in the21st century. The book has been published as part of a series of bookstitled "Ageing Issues, Health and Financial Alternatives”– Dr Naveed Yazdani's paper titled “Mintzberg's Strategy Continuum:Philosophical and Theoretical Underpinnings” has been accepted forpresentation at the Oxford Business and Economics Conference(OBEC) to be held at Oxford University, UK, in June 2010.–IJKBO appoints Dr A RKausar as member of theInternational EditorialReview BoardAn official publication of the Information Resources ManagementAssociation recently appointed Dr A R Kausar as member of theInternational Editorial Review Board. This is only possible if practitioners and researchers proactivelyshare experiences and methodologies followed in their respective institutionsand countries. Quality Assurance in Higher Education: Challengesand Practices is a serious attempt to fill the void created by lack of scientificrigor in research on Total Quality Management (TQM).The book is a compilation of the best research output in the conference on'Quality in Higher Education' jointly organized by the Higher EducationCommission, Government of Pakistan, University of Management andTechnology, Lahore, and Institute of Quality and Technology Management,University of the Punjab, in December 2008. The chapter is based on self-assessment of programs and methodologyof implementing continuous improvement. It is worth mentioningthat he is the only co-editor who has contributed to the book.Other papers deal with the importance of strengthening local institutionsto meet the professional needs of the country, the role of PhD students asfuture leaders of the research and academic traditions of their respectivecountries, and the debate surrounding university rankings.Part three focuses on quality parameters such as creativity in higher educationand presents a case study of a management institute in India, analysisand comparison of the BEd program at Bangla Desh Open University(BOU) and AIOU, Pakistan, and outcomes of higher education in theform of physical and social capital.Finally, part four of the book deals with higher education related issues.
