John Kilpatrick, who was the pastor at Brownsville duringthe “outpouring,” describes his initiation into this false spiritin June 1995. He said he fell to the floor and lay there foralmost four hours. “When I hit that floor, it felt like I weighed10,000 pounds. I knew something supernatural washappening” (Charisma, June 1996).Steve hill, the evangelist who was the main preacher duringthe “outpouring,” had gotten his baptism into this “spirit” on avisit to Holy Trinity Brompton a few months earlier. On hisway back to the States from a missionary trip, he stoppedover in London and stayed with a charismatic RomanCatholic couple. Hearing <strong>of</strong> the happenings at Holy TrinityBrompton, Hill sought out Sandy Millar and requested thathe lay hands on him. When Millar acquiesced, Hill wasknocked down.
