In March1996, they performed together for the largest gathering ofCatholics in America at the Los Angeles Religious EducationCongress. Roughly 20,000 priests and “laity” attended thiscongress. Both men also spoke at the formation retreat for theCatholic Musicians Association of which Talbot is thepresident.On their album Talbot and Card sing: “ere is one faith/One hope and one baptism/ One God and Father of all/ ereis one church, one body, one life in the spirit/ Now given sofreely for all.”What faith? What baptism? What church? e RomanCatholic faith is not the Biblical Christian faith. It’s baptismalregeneration certainly is not biblical baptism. e Romanchurch is not the New Testament church. Why wouldMichael Card pretend that he and John Talbot are singingabout the same thing? If he believes Talbot’s faith is the onetrue faith, why does he not become a Roman Catholic?42
