Ryle wasinfluential in the founding <strong>of</strong> Promise Keepers and was onPK’s board <strong>of</strong> directors. Promise Keepers’ leader BillMcCartney was a member <strong>of</strong> Ryle’s church. In his books, Ryledescribes alleged prophecies he received pertaining toMcCartney and his college football team, and it was these“prophecies” which impressed McCartney that Ryle was aman <strong>of</strong> God.
