He grew up around Quakers andthe Church <strong>of</strong> Christ and his brother is a Church <strong>of</strong> Christpastor. At the time <strong>of</strong> his death it was reported that Mullinswas taking the final steps to enter the Roman CatholicChurch. He was attending mass at least weekly, and the nightbefore he died he talked on the phone with priest MattMcGinness, communicating his readiness to say his firstconfession and to be confirmed. McGinness describes theconversation as follows:“ere was a sense <strong>of</strong> urgency.
