According to this doctrine,an end-time miracle revival must precede the return <strong>of</strong>Christ. e “Laughing Revival,” with headquarters in Torontoand Pensacola, used the “river” terminology to describe theirmovement. e theme song at the Brownsville Assembly <strong>of</strong>God in Pensacola was “e River Is Here.” e chorus says,“e river <strong>of</strong> God sets our feet a-dancing/ e river <strong>of</strong> God fillsour hearts with cheer/ e river <strong>of</strong> God fills our mouths withlaughter/ And we rejoice for the river is here.”Note that Steve Green sings that the “river” sweeps peopleaway and makes them “out <strong>of</strong> control.” is is precisely whathappens to people who participate in the strange LaughingRevival.
