Wellington Regional Tournament3 August 2013The tournament was a sensational success with180 competitors.We had a fantastic tournament with many first timecompetitors fighting it out for medals. It really wasawesome to see all students come out to compete inour second Wellington tournament of the year.The team environment was just sensational with peopleeverywhere supporting from all directions. Thank you toall the officials, and everybody that helped to make theday such a huge success. Thanks also to the team onthe BBQ.It’s great to see the high standard of our lower gradesand younger competitors each tournament we run thereis a big improvement. The hard work from the coach’sand competitors alike is really paying off – Keep doingwhat you are doing.Tournaments provide us with an opportunity to test ourskills against other students that have been training foraround the same amount of time as you!With the NZ nationals being held in Wellington this year,it's going to be a huge build up over the next 8 weeks.We are really looking forward to the final tournamentof the year and really pushing hard to lift the standard.Some keys for your best results in the upcomingtournaments will be to set strong goals! Get as muchtime in the ring as possible you can't beat ring time.Video your kata, kumite so you can see for yourselfwhat to work on.
