62 Operating Locomotive Equipment62.6.1 Connect <strong>Air</strong> Hoses In Multiple Unit ConsistsConnect air hoses in a multiple unit consist to ensure that the brakesystem is operational throughout the consist. To connect the hoses:1. Clean out all MU <strong>and</strong> brake pipe hoses before coupling them toother hoses.2. Couple MU <strong>and</strong> brake pipe hoses.3. Open cutout cocks <strong>and</strong> angle cocks fully between locomotives inthe consist.4.
