62 Operating Locomotive Equipment62.6.1 Connect Air Hoses In Multiple Unit ConsistsConnect air hoses in a multiple unit consist to ensure that the brakesystem is operational throughout the consist. To connect the hoses:1. Clean out all MU and brake pipe hoses before coupling them toother hoses.2. Couple MU and brake pipe hoses.3. Open cutout cocks and angle cocks fully between locomotives inthe consist.4.
