62 Operating Locomotive Equipment2. Immediately report any non-complying conditions to the traindispatcher or other proper authority.3. Correct any non-complying conditions found during the dailyinspection before the locomotive is placed in service.B. Daily Locomotive Inspection Card (ARRC Form 22-0123P)Complete an inspection card for each locomotive inspected.NOTE: The operating or mechanical employee making therepairs must sign off any FRA defects as corrected before thelocomotive is used.62.2.8 Locomotive Is Safe To MoveIf during the locomotive daily inspection you find one or more noncomplyingconditions, determine if the locomotive is safe to move. Ifunsure whether the locomotive is safe to move, contact the traindispatcher, mechanical supervisor, or other proper authority.1. If the locomotive is safe to move, move it only:• As a single unit under power not attached to cars• In a locomotive consist not attached to carsor• Isolated or shut down when attached to cars2. Complete a Non-Complying Locomotive Tag <strong>and</strong> attach it to theisolation switch of the non-complying locomotive. The tag mustinclude this information:• “Non-complying locomotive” written on the tag• Locomotive initials <strong>and</strong> number• Inspection location <strong>and</strong> date• Nature of the defect• Movement restrictions, if any• Destination• Signature of the employee making the inspection3.
