Shkodra free zone

Government officials should not forget that our people of
today can't take up entrepreneurial initiatives and the political culture
of the compromises, in order to change the thorns of misery into
fruits of democracy. The overall development of Shkoder as a free
zone would really contribute to the reduction of the complex
problems caused by the spontaneous urbanisation with
unemployment as its destabilising, fundamental factor which, under
the status of a free zone, can be resolved.
- Under the status of a free zone, Shkoder will become a very
important export centre.
Based upon the experience of the most distinguished free
zones in the world in terms of the flux of trade exchanges in East
Asia and West Pacific, we can convincingly indicate that Shkoder,
as
a free zone can serve even as an communicating bridge between the
national economy and the foreign markets. The circulation of goods
at convenient times, the reduction of the production costs, avoidance
of the red-tape bureaucracy of the customs and the use of the
transportation companies and agencies that will be trained to find
suitable
markets, are all factors supporting the exports growth giving
to our city the authority of the most developed centre
for exports in
Albania.

The physiology of the free zone mechanism is reinforced by
the activities of the Off- Shore banks which provide facilities to
operate local market capitals, without losing, moving or risking them
by protecting the interests of the Shkoder businessmen.
