PACKAGINGSURFACE PREPARATIONCONCRETE AND MASONRYMIXINGTwo 1-Gallon Containers Packaged As A Kit Yields 2 Gallons.Two 1-Pint Containers Packaged As A Kit Yields 1 Quart.<strong>Concrete</strong> areas which require patching should be free of dirt, oil, greaseand other contaminants and loose or unsound material. Remove all dirt,grease, oil, salt and other contaminants by washing the surface withIndustrial Pure Strength 3599 Cleaner/Degreaser. Etch with 108Cleaning & Etching Solution to promote optimum adhesion. Rinsethoroughly and promptly with fresh water and allow to dry. Scrape andwire brush or power tool clean to remove loose or unsound concrete,masonry or deteriorated coating. New concrete or masonry must cure30 days before repair. Properly prepared concrete should be dry, free ofall contaminants and loose cement and have a uniform texture similar to200 grit sandpaper.With a clean trowel, spatula or putty knife, measure out equal amountsof 5499A and 5499B onto a flat surface. Avoid cross contamination ofunused material, clean tool of first component before inserting intosecond component. Mix the two components together, kneading until auniform gray color and putty-like consistency are reached. Mix only theamount that can be applied in 30 minutes.APPLICATION Apply only when air and surface temperatures are between 50°-100°F (10°-38°C) and surface temperature is at least 5° above the dewpoint.Press mixed <strong>Concrete</strong> Patching Compound firmly into place with a puttyknife or trowel. Keep the tool wet while working the material and featheredges to obtain a smooth surface.
