PINCH TUBE VALVELOCTITE ® SHOT MISER DISPENSE VALVEItem Number: 98085The Loctite® Shot Miser Dispense Valve is an economical pinch tube style valve that featuresan adjustable stroke for enhanced shot size control. This valve has a disposable fluid path forfast, easy and low cost replacement. This valve must be used in conjunction with a Loctite®brand controller and product reservoir, sold separately.Features:• Pneumatically-actuated automatic dispense valve• Pinch-tube disposable fluid path for fast, easy and low cost maintenance• Dispenses dots or beads• 1 ⁄4" diameter product feed tube• Adjustable valve stroke for enhanced shot size control• Replaceable pneumatic actuator• Integral Luer-Lok® fitting accepts all Loctite® brand dispense needlesTheory of OperationApplication of adhesive using the Loctite® Shot Miser DispenseValve is achieved in conjunction with a pressure-time controllerand adhesive reservoir system. The opening and closing of thevalve is controlled by the system’s timer controls. When thedispense cycle is initiated, the piston pulls away from the pinchtube channel in the valve, opening the flow path, and allowingadhesive to pass. At the end of the dispense cycle, pressure isthen reapplied to the piston, closing the flow path.
