LIGHT CURECure Chambers & Flood SystemsCure Chambers &Flood SystemsLoctite® brand chamber and flood systems are modular low and medium intensityultraviolet and high intensity visible light emitting units designed for the batch curingof light curing adhesives and coatings. Selection of a Loctite® brand chamber and floodsystem is based on the required intensity of light and cure area.CURE CHAMBERSLOCTITE ® UVALOC 1000 UV CURE CHAMBERItem Number: 805741The Loctite® UVALOC 1000 UV Cure Chamber, item 805741, is a highperformancemodular curing system consisting of a cure chamber, lamp housing, and controller. The chamber has four rack levels toaccommodate a slide-in tray that allows for easy positioning of parts ofvarious heights and level of optimum exposure. The lamp is shielded bya timed control shutter that eliminates UV exposure to operators duringloading or unloading of parts. A door safety switch prevents openingwhile exposure is in progress.Features:• Typical UV irradiance is up to 110 mW/cm 2 , dependingupon selection of 4-position rack height• Dual power setting of 500 or 1000 watts permits curingof temperature-sensitive parts without damage by heat• Lamp intensity is continually monitored• Low-level output condition can be established to insure optimalcuring performance and notification for lamp replacement• Effective cure area of 6.3 inches wide by 6.3 inches deep (160 mm x 160 mm).• Digital timer allows for setting exposure time from 3 seconds to15 minutes in one-second increments• Pneumatically-operated shutter preventsTECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONSUV exposure to operatorsInput Voltage240 VAC; 50/60 Hz• Safety door interlock switch preventsopening of the door while the shutter is open• Standard lamp included is mercury vapor lamp;365 nm wavelengthPneumatic Supply RequiredPneumatic Supply TubingPower Consumption60 to 90 psi6 mm1,200 watts• Optional iron doped orgallium doped lamps availableDimensions Exterior of UnitCure Chamber12.0" W x 29 1 ⁄4" H x 17.0" D9.0" W x 12" H x 13 3 ⁄4" DCure Area6.3" W x 6.3" DTheory of OperationThe operator places the part inside the chamberand sets the exposure time. This cure time iscontrolled by the built-in timer and can beoperated in a continuous or timed mode. Theoperator then triggers the exposure cycle by a footswitch, panel-mount start button, or PLC interface.Upon completion of timer, the operator removesthe part from the chamber.NEWPartsIncludedReplacement Bulb(1) Cure Chamber, Lamp Housing, and Controller(1) UV Intensity Sensor and Built-InDigital Intensity Display(1) Connecting Cable (from controller to lamp housing)(1) AC Power Cord with pig-tale wire ends(1) Foot Switch870098 – 1,000 W Mercury VaporAdditional Accessories Sold Separately98086 – Loctite ®ZETA ® 7011-ADosimeter-Radiometer(See page 113)98452 – Safety Glasses(protects from 200 to540 nm wavelengths)870097 – Iron Doped Lamp 870096 – Gallium Doped Lamp108For additional information and the full line of equipment, visit www.equipment.loctite.com.
