LOCTITE ® ZETA ® 7760 UV WAND SYSTEMSItem Numbers: 98450 and 958239The <strong>Loctite</strong>® ZETA® 7760 UV Wand Systems utilize a 200 watt high pressure mercury arc lamp with a universal power supply anda liquid-filled light wand. These systems have the highest intensity output for a <strong>Loctite</strong>® brand wand system by a factor of 2. The<strong>Loctite</strong>® ZETA® 7760 UV Wand Systems can be operated manually or in the timed mode and are capable of interfacing with a PLCcontrolled circuit. Continuous lamp intensity monitoring is also available by selecting item 958239 and the required LightIntensity Monitor item 891494. The light guides are also sold separately from the base units.Light guide choices are highlighted below.Features:• Our highest output light intensity wand. Typical initialIntensity is 16 to 20 W/cm 2• Contains a high pressure mercury arc lamp• 1,000 hours of expected UV lamp life with properhandling and maintenance• Manual or timed shutter light exposure, 0 to 99.9 seconds• Hour meter for monitoring accumulated lamp life• Self-test diagnostics displays message when a problem existsAdditional Features for Item 958239 when used in conjunction with 891494• LED control display highlights relative intensitychanges in 10% increments• Minimum required intensity can be programmed for awarning or integrated to PLC for external alarm orshutdown conditionTheory of OperationWhen the unit is switched on, the proper electrical power isimmediately supplied to the lamp. It will take a few minutes forthe lamp to reach full power. The operator will manuallyor automatically place the part under the end of the UV wand.Curing will take place when the UV light is directed at the liquidadhesive. Engaging the foot switch opens the shutter and UVenergy produced by the lamp is immediately transmittedthrough the flexible light guide.
