1. Compatibility<br />

Presently the drill template Railflex & Railflex Lite<br />

is valid for:<br />

Drill template Railflex & Railflex Lite is for mounting<br />

of both (SUPER) RAILFLEX BASEII and RAILFLEX<br />

LITE BASE, if they are not already premounted.<br />

Drill template Railflex & Railflex Lite can be used<br />

for ski widths from 59 to 108 mm. For other skis<br />

use the template adapter set (art. nr. 162 569).<br />

With this adapter set skis from 45 to 132 mm can<br />

be mounted.<br />

Railflex SystemII<br />

All TYROLIA RAILFLEX SYSTEMII bindings can be<br />

used with skis 140 cm and longer.<br />

Note: TYROLIA offers two different types of brakes<br />

for RAILFLEX SYSTEMII bindings – the POWER<br />

BRAKE RAIL and the SL BRAKE RAIL. Refer to the<br />

brake overview on page 42 for brake and binding<br />

compatibility.<br />

POWER BRAKE<br />

The standard brake, the POWER BRAKE LD Rail 80<br />

(art.nr. 162 590), can be used for skis up to 80 mm.<br />

For ski widths from 81 to 95 mm use POWER<br />

BRAKE LD Rail wide 95 (art.nr.162 766) and from<br />

96 to 115 mm use POWER BRAKE LD Rail FAT 115<br />

(art.nr.162 765).<br />

For DEMO bindings the POWER BRAKE LD RAIL<br />

DEMO 80 (art.nr. 162 716) is for skis up to 80 mm,<br />

for wider skis use the POWER BRAKE LD RAIL<br />

DEMO WIDE 95 (art.nr. 162 767), which is for skis<br />

from 81 to 95 mm.<br />

SL BRAKE<br />

The SL BRAKE RAIL 78 (art.nr. 162 632) is for skis<br />

up to 78 mm, for wider skis use the SL BRAKE RAIL<br />

WIDE 90 (art.nr. 162 759), which is for skis from<br />

79 to 90 mm.<br />

The Description of the brakes always includes a<br />

number like 72, 78, 90, 93 or 115. This number<br />

stands for the maximum ski width in the brake<br />

area and not in the ski center!!!<br />

Railflex Lite System<br />

The RAILFLEX LITE BASE is delivered with screws<br />

for skis from 140 cm. If the base is mounted on<br />

shorter skis, replace them with shorter screws<br />

(see screw chart in this manual – page 64).<br />

TYROLIA offers two versions of the RAILFLEX LITE<br />

band. The band is delivered with the RAILFLEX<br />

LITE BASE or is premounted on the integrated<br />

HEAD ski.<br />

2. Positioning the Drill Template<br />

Open the clamping jaws (2) by rotating the<br />

clamping handles (1) and then place the template<br />

on the ski. Align the boot midsole indicator (3) for<br />

the appropriate base model with the midsole<br />

mounting mark on the ski. Be sure the template is<br />

evenly seated against the ski’s top surface.<br />

Release clamping handles.<br />
