7. Function Check<br />

Before the newly mounted ski equipment is<br />

rented perform a complete functional check.<br />

Note: In some countries (USA) rental equipment<br />

has to pass a Pre-Season Test (See the Rental<br />

section of this manual).<br />

The boot should not catch on the sole hold-down<br />

of the heel as it opens and closes.<br />

Brake<br />

Press the step- on plate (1) down by hand. The<br />

brake arms (2) must close and open automatically<br />

to the braking position when the step-on<br />

plate is released (pict 22).<br />

Lateral elasticity of the toe<br />

Press the boot laterally outward. The binding<br />

must re-center the boot easily and quickly from a<br />

15mm lateral displacement. (Model SP 70 ABS<br />

and SP 45 – 10 mm).<br />

8. Final Check<br />

• Has the proper mounting point been selected?<br />

• Have all screws been fastened tightly?<br />

• Has the forward pressure setting been<br />

controlled?<br />

• Has at least one full adjustment been made<br />

using a representative reference boot including<br />

Release- / Retention setting and momentum<br />

test?<br />

• Has the functional check been passed<br />

successfully?<br />

• Functional brake test passed?<br />

• Is the instruction for use booklet ready to be<br />

handed over to the consumer?<br />
