If this happens, the acidsolution must be diluted and rinsed awaywith clean water. When cleaning or wipingalways use a soft cloth or sponge ‐ do notuse scourers or abrasive compounds.Modern cleaning processes use sterilizersfor hygiene purposes. The cap, clamp and trap have been designed to optimise efficient flowperformance for self‐cleaning and reduced maintenance.Pipe Connection<strong>Harmer</strong> ABS <strong>Shower</strong> Drain bodies have anominal 56mm diameter spigot. Theyconnect to ABS, PVC‐U and Polypropylenepipe materials.Connecting to 56mm (2”) ABS.Use solvent cement pipe joint.Connecting to 43mm (1 1 /2”) ABS. A choice ofCaps is manufactured in the same ABScompound with the exception of thechrome plated cap which is aluminium.ABS is a durable plastic. However, duringsite handling, installation and maintenance,avoid dropping or impact especially in coldweather. Any contamination arising fromconstruction, such as concrete or cement,should be removed from surfaces using asoft cloth or sponge.ABS resists corrosion and chemical attack,however cleaning solutions, such as thoseused to clean masonry and tiling mustnever be used with Chrome Plated parts.When cleaning or wiping always use a softcloth or sponge ‐ do not use scourers orabrasive compounds.Modern cleaning processes use sterilizersfor hygiene purposes. Proprietarysolutions, when used in accordance withthe manufacturer’s instructions, should besafe.
