(a) H.ating in scholastic subjects, equal weights being<br />

assigned to the total credits received during the three preceding<br />

terms (including credits for previous summer reading),<br />

by members <strong>of</strong> the Committee on Honor Students and by individual<br />

(2) Qualifying for the Travel Prizes. At the end <strong>of</strong> each<br />

year the Committee on Honor Students will designate not more<br />

than six students <strong>of</strong> the sophomore class as having "qualified"<br />

for the competitioN for the Travel Prize <strong>of</strong> the ensuing year.<br />

The students who receive the largest number <strong>of</strong> "points" will<br />

be so designated.<br />

(3) Competition for the Travel Prizes. The competitors<br />

qualifying for the Travel Prizes in the way stated above shall<br />

report at once (before the summer vacation) to repr€sentatives<br />

<strong>of</strong> the Committee on Honor Students; and a plan for summer<br />

reading and study and for special work during the first two<br />

terms <strong>of</strong> their junior year to meet the requirements <strong>of</strong> the competition<br />

will be laid out.<br />

(5) Award <strong>of</strong> the Travel Prizes. These prizes will be<br />

awarded to those students who, having qualified in the way stated<br />

'Students desiring to compete for the scholarships or travel prizes<br />

should report this fact at the beginning <strong>of</strong> the school year to the Physical<br />

Education Department, in order that they may receive special instructions.
