Measure TreatmentAn instrument connected to Profibus generates a principal measurement and, ifapplicable, one or more secondary measurements. Measurements on Profibus arestandardized and are assigned.A key requirement is that measurement addresses generated by the Profibus masterconfiguration tool are in line with those used in the PLC program.Please note: the examples which illustrate data communication between varioussoftware tools are explained in the Configuration Phase chapter.DiagnosisThere are two types of diagnosis:• System diagnosis (master and bus)• Device diagnosis (individual slave)A system diagnosis can be a starting point that leads to a more detailed slavediagnosis. The explicit diagnoses requests provide standard and extended diagnosis.AdjustmentsAdjustment of the measurement thresholds in the PLC program are distinct from theindividual read/write parameters provided by individual pieces of equipment.Please note: The TSX PBY100 coupler does not allow the adjustment of a slave fromthe PLC.83
