EXHIBIT "A* AGREEMENT between RIVERSIDE CITY AND COtlNTY PUBLIC LIBRARY and COLLEGE OF THE DESERT LIBRARY for the PROVISION OF AUTOMATED LIBRARY SERVICES College of the D m (COD) and Riverside City and County Public Library (RCCPL) agree lo the foliowing: 0 1. RCCPL will mpport COD in the same manner as RCCPL agencies are supported: - call in, over the phone assistance lo opoa-duty 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mon-Fri - domation servicca win log any unsolvable software pmblme with DRA and report back solution to site - on-site assietance if Automation Coordinator determines it is ncceaaary to solve the service issue - DEC maintenance on all terminals with 48 hour (Mon thm Fri) turnaround (av. 20 min pa lerminal to log) - wand/ru&m available for temporary swap through delivery; COD staff are nspansible for knowing how to disconnect and connect the wands~rcadas and how to wand in configuralion setup - ireinlng ds available from existing RCCPL staff at the same level at whjch RCCPL staff are currently trained 0 2. RCCPL will run dl DRA reports requested for syslem 02, and, as timc and staff hours ped, create new Gembase reports for specific repod needs. COD Btaff win use RCCPL Gembase request form. RCCPL will allow the addition of new bibliographic records and modihtion of existing records to add an LC call number per RCCPL cataloging specifications (based on In~hlally agreed upon cataloging

worksheets). COD will not edit or change in any way (other than to add LC number) existing RCCPL records nor will RCCPL edit or change in any way (other than to add a caU number) existing COD records. After COD has FTp'd patron records to RCCPL, RCCPL will load COD recards to the database using Bonower Academic Load. Security of Patron Records will be maintained through the use of Patron Masking. Ttda maintains privacy of patrons between systems, unless access is provided to specific individuals. New patron records will be added on e schedule mutually a ped upon.
