Not only is it a great ride, thereis a good restaurant at the end of thetrail. Lots of twists and turns.1999 GL1500This photo of Keith Stewart (GWRRA #153609) wastaken at the Going-to-the-Sun Road in Glacier NationalPark. We took this trip in the summer of 2007, saysKeith’s wife Sandra. We have been coast-to-coast on ourGold Wing and find it the only way to travel and seethis beautiful country. We especially love to visit ourNational Parks, and words can never describe the beautywe have right here in our own national boundaries. On our trips, we have met many wonderful people—especially motorcycle people. There just seems to be abond we all have for each other, and I always feel comfortedwhen we travel and see a group of bikes on theroad too.We love to ride, and we will always take ourtrips on our Gold Wing as long as we possibly can.Once you vacation on a bike—nothing else compares!▲▲1984 Gold Wing AspencadeAttached is a pic of our pride and joy.The pic wastaken in Camp Wood,Texas, at the Nueces River. Our (Scott & Deb Justice, of Moody,Texas) bike has140,221 miles on it, and we bought it in March 1996 withonly 18,167 miles on it. Back then it was bone stock. I(Deb) keep it showroom clean, and Scott does all themechanical work needed. The engine has never beenrebuilt nor has it been repainted! It still rides like newand receives a lot of attention from riders and non-ridersalike. Our first show was in 2002 and, since then, we havewon 10 Best of Shows, 5 Classic classes, 12 First PlaceMetric Touring, 4 2nd Place Metric Touring, 3 BestAntique, and 1 Grand Champion at the Texas State Rallyin 2007. It’s amazing the amount of people who think it’snew; we even have people who will see us at various rallies, poker runs, etc., and have written down the mileageand check the bike again to see if we really ride it.88 Wing World

It’s a 2004 Titanium GoldWing, and this baby got us our first“Iron Butt” patch. Riding a total of1,245 miles in less than twenty-fourhours, we started in our hometown ofMacedonia, Ohio, and continued on toChicago, Illinois, Madison,Wisconsin, and Sioux Falls, South Dakota, beforeending in Wall, South Dakota. This wasour first trip to the Black Hills, and theonly piece of advice we can give to anyonewho wants to ride through theWest is that a motorcycle is the ONLYway to do it!▲August 2008 89
