In this department, we include some of the many photos we receive each month that do not necessarily fall into the other departments we’ve established overthe years. We understand that, as one large family, we often have more to brag about than just our bikes. So here’s your opportunity to share those accomplishments(and just plain fun anecdotes) with the entire Association! Send photos and text to “Bragging Rights,” Wing World, P.O. And we even met the couple—Tom &Kathy Peck—who won the Gold Wing at last year’s Wing Ding.(Submitted by Chris Proszek, GWRRA #217514)From the Deck of the USS LexingtonMy wife Cindy and I recently attended the Texas District Rally inCorpus Christi, Texas, and it was an unbelievable experience.“Wings Ahoy” was an understatement, to say the least. To see hundreds of Wings going up and down the USS Lexington’selevator was something I will never forget, and it was special to usbecause our son is stationed on the USS George Washington, which isdeployed as you read this.I am writing to brag about all of the volunteers who organized thisevent, worked it, parked us—everything. This could have been a logisticalnightmare; instead was the most organized bunch of volunteers Ihave ever seen. Everyone involved should be commended, as this wasan unbelievable sight to see the deck covered in Wings (and, as thosewho were there know, probably 50% trikes).I believe you can see pictures at the District website and atwww.usslexington.com (just go to Special Events, then Wings Ahoy). Thanks to everyone!(Submitted by Tommy Landry, Chapter TX-J)We Traveled All the Way from Illinoisfor the Texas District RallyHi.
