Either the ODBC component or the OLE DB Provider component of the IBM ® iSeries Access forWindows ® must be loaded onto the PC which will have Spreadsheet Server installed. By default,Spreadsheet Server expects to communicate to the iSeries host via the OLE DB Provider, thusSpreadsheet Server settings must be modified to connect to the host via ODBC.2. Run the setup program within IBM iSeries Access for Windows to determine that one of the Data Accesscomponents is installed. See the screen below to verify the component is installed.Microsoft ® SQL Server DatabaseThe Microsoft SQL Server OLE DB Provider must be loaded on the PC which will have Spreadsheet Serverinstalled.Oracle ® DatabaseThe Oracle client software must be loaded and a host connection must be configured on the PC which willhave Spreadsheet Server installed.
